The project aims to study the vertical and horizontal components of the hydrotechnical dams. This can be professionally achieved only by long-term studies of the area of interest with measurements and data processing carried out every three months. The time span could last as long as 3-5 years, up to about 40 years.
Considering the duration of this project cannot extend 28 months, the objectives by year could be described below.
This kind of analyses propose integrating of various information from geonomic sciences as geology, geophysics, seismology or geodesy, or parts of them, giving important elements to elaborate seismotectonic models which could elucidate the cause of seismic events and shape the high risk seismic areas.
For a high accuracy of scientific objectives of this project we have to follow these activities:
-establishing the objects of interest and evaluation on the base of the GPS network design, as well as the acceleration and displacement sensors;
-the design of the primary (seismic and satellite) recording systems for satellite and seismic data
-shaping the database for seismology and geophysical information
-carrying out the first satellite and seismic measurements in situ
-processing the first dataset and setting the sampling intervl depending on the preliminary results
-Interpretations of GPS satellite data
-Interpretations of seismic data
-Corroboration of GPS and seismic data
-Compression and extension crustal directions resulted by the study of mechanisms -Deformation directions resulted from processing the satellite (GPS and geodetic measurements.
-Elaborations of integrated seismodynamic models
-Designing the bench-mark network
-Setting the bench-marks in the area of interest and in the stable area
-Carrying out the measurements every three months
-Repeating the measurements according to the three months periodicity
-Carrying out the measurements after no more than three months;
-Data processing I order to set the final coordinates of the markers;
-Data processing to establish the final coordinates of the bench-marks
-Data processing in order to get the final coordinates per stage;
-Establishing the displacement and acceleration vectors for every stage and the general conclusion
-Repeating the measurements by three years cycles;
-Comparison of final data in order to establish the vertical and horizontal components vectors
-Shaping the displacement model for the zone.
